About two months after the 2012 York Fair wrapped, planning for the 2013 event is in full swing.

On Tuesday, the fair announced its first big grandstand show. Country group Lady Antebellum will perform 7:30 p.m. Sept. 7 on the fair's Toyota Grandstand, 334 Carlisle Ave., West Manchester Township. It will be the band's second time on the grandstand: It performed in 2010.

On Sunday, Lady Antebellum won favorite country group at the American Music Awards. The band, which comprises Dave Haywood, Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley, broke out in 2007. Since then, it's tallied No. 1 hits, sold millions of albums and earned multiple trophies. Lady Antebellum won Group Of The Year at the 2012 Academy Of Country Music Awards and Country Album of the Year at the 2012 Grammys.

Tickets to the York Fair show are $58 for side track, side plaza and side grandstand seats; $63 for track, plaza and center grandstand seats; and $73 for pit seats. They go on sale 8 a.m. Dec. 1 and are available at the fair box office, by phone 717-848-2033 and online at www.yorkfair.com. There is a processing fee for phone, mail and online orders. All grandstand tickets purchased prior to Aug. 26 will include fair admission.

In October, Lady Antebellum released a Christmas album, "On This Winter's Night."
