Cheers to The Brewery at Hershey Saturday, Aug. 16 at its one-year Anniversary Celebration.

The celebration is an all-day event, starting with the Trail to Ale 5K at 8 a.m. and ending with live music at 8 p.m.

While the event is free admission, cost to participate in the 5K at 8 a.m. is $35 to $50, plus an online service fee. The Fun Run costs $25 to $40, plus an online service fee. Proceeds will go to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Register at www.pretzelcitysports.com. At the end of the race, participates will be rewarded with a pint of beer.

At 9 a.m., the patio bar will open for a performance by Phil from American Posse. Mad Dash will be serving breakfast. Also, the grounds will host more than 30 vendors to explore.


The Chili Cook-off starts at noon. Cost is $10 at the door, with proceeds benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Local restaurants Flinchy's, O'Reilly's Pub, Smoke BBQ, Riverhouse, Chef Charlie Gipe from Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, Café 1500 and Café Fresco will provide chili paired with brewery beers.
